Islamabad’s Temperature Drops to 0°C as Cold Wave Grips Pakistan

A strong cold wave is affecting many regions of Pakistan, especially the northern areas, where temperatures have dropped to record lows.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department reports freezing conditions across multiple cities and towns, with mountainous areas facing the harshest weather. Leh recorded the coldest temperature at -9°C, followed by Kalam, Kalat, and Gupis, where temperatures reached -6°C.

Quetta saw a low of -5°C, while Skardu, Malam Jabba, Dir, and Chitral recorded -4°C. Other areas, including Parachinar, Hunza, Durosh, and Astore, faced temperatures of -3°C. Even major cities felt the chill, with Islamabad experiencing a minimum temperature of 0°C.

This cold spell is a clear reminder of the intense winter conditions sweeping across the country. Northern regions, in particular, are experiencing extreme cold, making daily life challenging for residents.
