Javed Afridi Shows Off Live Assembly of New MG SUVs in Pakistan

Since its inception, MG Pakistan has been the subject of numerous incidents and controversies.

For more than a year, the company has been selling vehicles in Pakistan, but only as Completely Built-Up (CBU) units imported from Asia-Pacific.

On social media, Javed Afridi recently released a video of MG’s local assembling factory in Pakistan. Fakhar-e-Alam, a well-known television personality, shot and published a video on Twitter in which he conducted a tour of the plant.

Within two days, the video had 1.5 million views, with the majority of people expressing gratitude to the manufacturer.

Industry analysts, on the other hand, say the company’s refusal to provide the media an official tour of the facility is a red signal.

Ali Khizar, a famous car industry analyst, recently pointed out on Twitter that Pakistan will import 13,246 CBU vehicles in 2021, which is ten times the average over the previous four years.

He pointed out that MG was the company that contributed the most to the total, with over 10,139 units imported.

According to market experts, the corporation has solely imported and sold CBUs so far, and will continue to do so in the near future.
