Javelin Thrower Arshad Nadeem Gets Six New Javelins Ahead of Paris Olympics

Javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem has received a major boost for the Paris Olympics, having been provided with six new advanced carbon-fiber javelins. Nadeem expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the Pakistan Sports Board, Punjab Sports, and the Athletics Federation for their continued support.

After spending five weeks training in South Africa, Nadeem has returned to Pakistan and is currently fine-tuning his skills at the Punjab Stadium in Lahore. He acknowledged the cooperation and support from various sports bodies and highlighted the contributions of his coach, Salman Butt, in his training.

Nadeem spoke about the benefits he gained from his training in South Africa, despite facing challenges in adapting to the different weather conditions there. He emphasized that the experience was invaluable in improving his technique and performance.

Coach Salman Butt reported that Nadeem’s current performance level is at about 65%, but they expect him to reach 100% by mid-June. This indicates that Nadeem is on track with his training and making steady progress.

In addition to his training, Nadeem is set to compete in a javelin event in Finland, which will feature some of the top throwers in the world. This competition aligns with his training plan and will provide him with the opportunity to test his skills against strong international competitors, further preparing him for the Paris Olympics.
