Justice Qazi Faez Isa Takes Oath as 29th Chief Justice of Pakistan

Justice Qazi Faez Isa has officially become Pakistan’s 29th Chief Justice after a formal ceremony at the Aiwan-e-Sadr. This transition marks the retirement of the previous Chief Justice, Justice Umar Ata Bandial.

During the ceremony, President Arif Alvi administered the oath of office to Justice Isa, commencing his term. The event was attended by Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar, senior military officials, caretaker federal ministers, senators, and foreign ambassadors.

Justice Isa will hold the prestigious position of Chief Justice until October 25, 2024. During his tenure, he will shoulder the critical responsibilities that come with this top judicial role.

His appointment is a significant moment in Pakistan’s legal and judicial history, and he is expected to play a crucial role in upholding the rule of law and ensuring justice throughout his term.
