The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has appointed three former Pakistani cricketers, Kamran Akmal, Rao Iftikhar Anjum, and Salman Butt, as consultants to support chief selector Wahab Riaz.
They have already begun their roles and will be part of the team responsible for selecting players for the upcoming five-match T20I series against New Zealand in January 2024.
These consultants, Kamran Akmal, Rao Iftikhar Anjum, and Salman Butt, bring a wealth of experience to the selection panel, having represented Pakistan in various cricket formats during their playing careers.
Their insights and expertise will contribute to the decision-making process for forming the cricket squad for the upcoming series.
