Asad Umar, Federal Minister for Planning and Development, said on Sunday that the long-awaited Green Line Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project would be ready for trial operations in Karachi within the next 10 days. Umar later announced on Twitter that Prime Minister Imran Khan will lay the groundwork for the Green Line BRT project, which aims to improve people’s lives in Karachi.
Following a two-week trial period, the Green Line bus service will begin commercial operations on December 25. Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif launched the project in 2016, with the goal of completing it within a year. However, for a variety of reasons, the project remained unfinished.
