Punjab students to receive monthly stipend of Rs 3000 under the Waseela Taleem program

Encouraged by the success of other educational scholarship initiatives, the Punjab government announced on Saturday that a monthly stipend of Rs 3,000 for girls and Rs 2,500 for boys studying in state-run high schools will be provided.

According to local media reports, the Punjab government has also given the Department of School Education authorization to enter into an arrangement with the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP).

Students in the country’s largest province will get stipends as part of the PTI major initiative.

These incentives will be available to secondary students at government educational institutions from sixth through tenth grades.

Furthermore, pupils enrolled in private schools are ineligible for these monthly stipends, which will be distributed only to students enrolled in public institutions.
