Karachi likely to host 2 test matches between Pakistan and England

Due to political upheaval in Rawalpindi, the original location for the opening game beginning on December 1, Karachi is being explored as an alternative venue for England’s historic first Test in Pakistan.

Next month, Pakistan will host three ICC Test Championship games featuring Ben Stokes’ team. The first and third tests of the series would likely take place in Karachi’s National Bank Cricket Arena, according to reports.

In view of PTI’s long march and protests, plan ‘B’ is under consideration. As per the announced schedule, England will arrive in Islamabad on November 27.

The first Test will be played in Rawalpindi from December 1, the second in Multan from December 9, third from December 17 in Karachi.

Currently, no decision has been taken to change the schedule and the final decision will be taken only after consultation with all stakeholders in a few days.
