Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: A policeman was martyred and eight others were injured in an explosion in Bara Bazar in Khyber district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the police, the blast took place during a search at the main gate of the tehsil compound.
The blast appears to be suicide, the injured are being shifted to Dogra Hospital.
According to the hospital administration, the body of one person was brought to The Hayatabad Medical Complex while four injured, including three policemen, were brought to the hospital.
Sp Warsak Arshad Khan said that 17 bullets were fired at the policemen while the force was changed, after the firing, the attackers escaped, for which a search operation is going on in the area.
It may be recalled that two days ago, eight people were injured in a suicide blast near a security forces vehicle in Hayatabad area of Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
