Louis Vuitton has added five new watches to its Tambour Spin Time collection, including a top-end model priced at $199,000, or around Rs. 5.5 crore based on the State Bank of Pakistan’s September 9 exchange rate.
The Tambour Spin Time Air Flying Tourbillon stands out with 12 rotating cubes that form its unusual hour display. The cubes move as the hour changes, replacing the traditional hour hand with a three-dimensional design that has become a signature of Louis Vuitton watches. The Spin Time concept was first introduced in 2009.
The watch comes in a 42.5mm platinum case with a salmon-colored dial. At its centre is a flying tourbillon, a complex mechanism that helps improve the movement’s accuracy by continuously rotating the regulating parts. Its in-house LFT ST05.01 automatic movement takes about 50 hours to assemble.
Louis Vuitton has made the latest Spin Time models part of its permanent collection, with prices starting at $85,500 and reaching $199,000 for the Flying Tourbillon.
