Kia has announced to close down four dealerships across the country, through an official press release on the company’s social media platform.
Lucky Motor Company (LMC) responsible for Kia Operations in Pakistan did not mention any specific reasons for the decision. According to the press release, the affected dealerships’ operations have been immediately halted.
Previously, Kia shut down its notable facility in Karachi, known as Kia Motors Shahra-e-Faisal. The company-operated showroom was closed due to the expiration of the lease agreement with the premises owner, which could not be renewed.
As a consequence of the recent development, Kia’s presence has now been limited to 16 cities and around 30 dealerships. However, the automaker remains in major cities of Pakistan catering to sales, services, and spare part support.
Official statements from the authorities are expected behind the shutting down of the dealerships.
