To encourage the video game industry, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Science and Technology and Information Technology Department is taking steps.
“There is no shortage of talent in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and we will give young people the opportunity to make money,” said Ziaullah Bangash, Chief Minister of Information Technology Adviser. He further added that the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is launching IT sector projects to boost the economy through technology.
Moreover, he said that the Information Technology Board of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPITB) was considering allocating a gaming industry promotion budget that will help prepare children for the gaming industry.
The adviser said that one of the world’s fastest growing sectors was the gaming industry. He added that in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, his department was taking practical initiatives to promote the gaming industry.
He stated that in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, there were many virtual game companies. He said that the Science and Technology and Information Technology Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had also invited gaming industry-related companies from other Pakistani cities to create their KP set-up.
