KP Govt to spend Rs. 5 Billion Digial Skills program to train 84,000

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government will spend Rs. 5 billion to impart digital skills to more than 84,000 youth across the province over a period of two years.

In this connection, the provincial science, technology, and information technology department has chalked out a plan to be executed through the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board (KPITB) in the next two years, according to official documents.

Three Levels

The digital trainings have divided into three levels. Furthermore, it includes intermediate level, advanced level, and high impact digital skills or nanodegree level.

Global Certification Scholarships

Under the plan, the department will also provide global certification scholarships to the top 5,600 trained youth.

Intermediate Level

At the intermediate level, 60,800 digitally skilled workers would be produced in:

  • E-commerce
  • Graphics design/UI-UX design
  • Motion graphics and animation
  • Web development
  • Social media marketing
  • Blogging and content writing
  • Search engine marketing
  • Vlogging
  • YouTube.

Advanced Level

The department will also train 22,400 individuals in advanced digital skills. Moreover, it includes blockchain, big data engineering, artificial intelligence and machine learning, computer networking, cyber security, cloud computing, business intelligence, and game development.

High Category of Training

Finally, in the high category of training, 1,200 students will train in programming.
