An announcement made on Thursday stated that mixed groups of male and female students are not permitted at Gomal University.
Political and non-political gatherings are also prohibited by the university due to security reasons.
The university issued a statement that said: “All types of gatherings, both political and non-political, are banned with immediate effect due to the current tense security alert and overall law and order situation as highlighted by Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and local administration of Dera Ismail Khan as well.
Male students at Gomal University have been prohibited from hanging out with female students, according to Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shakibullah.
