The highest leading rate of literacy growth in all provinces is in KPK. Except for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (52.4 percent to 55.1 percent), and Balochistan (53.9 percent to 54.5 percent), the literacy rate has increased in all provinces.
Overall, 55.7 million registrations were collected, up from 53.1 million in 2018-19, representing a 4.9 percent increase.
In the meantime, it is expected to rise by 58.5 million in 2020–21. The number of institutions was also raised to 277.5 thousand, up from 271.8 thousand in 2018-19 to 277.5 thousand in 2019-20.
