The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board has created the “Grow with Google” programme in cooperation with Google, which offers 5,000 scholarships for in-demand Google certificates (KPITB).
The initiative aims to upskill the young of the province so they can explore better job prospects in the international market and increase their competitiveness on a global level.
The programme, which is being run by TechValley in Pakistan, will focus on assisting women in seizing the opportunity and will be launched on International Women’s Day to highlight the contribution of women to society.
The effort is underway despite warnings from experts that there are millions of unfilled posts due to a global scarcity of people with the appropriate digital skills.
