The Sheikh Badin mountain range was given the status of national park back in the year 2003, as it is a sub-project of 10 Billion Tree Tsunami Afforestation Programme (BTAP).

As per the official reports, Rs565.957 million of total allocated funds would be utilized on conservancy as well as other works in this park.
