LG, a company known for making electronics, has unveiled a special TV named the Signature OLED T. This TV stands out because it has a see-through screen, and LG claims it is “the world’s first wireless transparent OLED TV.”
Featuring a 77-inch OLED screen, a technology commonly used in TVs and smartphones, this TV doesn’t need to be placed against a wall like regular TVs. When turned off, it can serve as a room divider or be placed against a window without blocking the view. LG’s TV uses wireless technology for high-quality images and sounds, reducing the need for many wires. An artificial intelligence (AI) processor enhances the picture quality on the screen.
Users have the option to choose between two settings – transparent and opaque – depending on how they want the content to appear. When content is displayed on the transparent screen, it gives the illusion of floating in the air, creating a visually appealing effect. The TV also comes with special features like an “info-ticker” for weather updates and news, and it can transform the entire screen into an animated fish tank.
The Signature OLED T is available for purchase either as a regular TV or with options to mount it on the wall. It was showcased at the Consumer Electronics Show, an event where companies present their latest technology. Additionally, LG introduced a unique two-legged house robot on wheels using AI for movement at this year’s show.
