Rawalpindi Opens Syeda Fatima Zahra (AS) Free Burial Service and Charity Food Center

Rawalpindi has launched the Syeda Fatima Zahra (RA) Free Burial Service and Charity Food Center near Liaquat Bagh, introducing a major welfare initiative aimed at helping underprivileged families during difficult times. The project is designed to provide essential end-of-life support and daily meals for deserving individuals, offering relief to those struggling with financial hardship.

The facility will provide free graves, ambulance services, complete burial arrangements, and charity food on a daily basis, ensuring that low-income families can access dignified funeral services without bearing heavy expenses. The initiative reflects a growing focus on social welfare and humanitarian support in the city.

The center was officially inaugurated by Abdul Aamer Khattak, alongside public representatives and members of civil society, who praised the effort as an important step toward community care and public service. Officials highlighted that the project not only aims to reduce the financial burden on poor families but also seeks to address the increasing shortage of cemetery space in urban areas.

Authorities have described the initiative as a model welfare project that could be replicated in other cities across Punjab, expanding access to humanitarian services and strengthening support systems for vulnerable communities throughout the province.
