Lionel Messi, the renowned Argentine footballer and Saudi Tourism Ambassador, arrived in Saudi Arabia on Monday accompanied by his family for his second visit to the Kingdom.
The Minister of Tourism, Ahmed Al-Khateeb, took to Twitter to welcome Messi and share his message.
“I am happy to welcome Saudi Tourism Ambassador Lionel Messi and his family on his second vacation in Saudi Arabia. We are happy to share our authentic Saudi welcome with you all,” he said.
Ahead of his second visit to Saudi Arabia, football superstar Lionel Messi posted a picture on his Instagram account that showed date palm groves, indicating his excitement about his upcoming trip.
Messi was appointed as the official brand ambassador of the Saudi Tourism Authority in May 2022 and is expected to explore more tourism destinations in the Kingdom during his visit, after previously touring Historical Jeddah and enjoying the Red Sea on his first trip.
He said in partnership post with Visit Saudi: “Who thought Saudi Arabia has so much green? I love to explore its unexpected wonders whenever I can.”
Within two days, the post received more than 5 million likes and close to 50,000 comments.
