Kylian Mbappe, a professional football player, has praised Lionel Messi as one of the greatest players in the history of the sport. Mbappe believes that Messi did not receive the respect he deserved during his time playing for PSG in France.
During Messi’s two seasons at PSG, he faced challenges and occasional booing from fans, despite winning Ligue 1 titles and the World Cup with the club. He was also suspended by PSG for two weeks due to a trip he took to Saudi Arabia. Eventually, Messi left PSG after his contract ended in the 2022-23 season and announced his decision to join Inter Miami for the upcoming season, as his return to Barcelona did not happen.
In an interview with Mundo Deportivo and Sport newspapers, Messi explained that he chose to go to Miami because if his plans to return to Barcelona didn’t work out, he wanted to leave Europe and focus more on his family.
