Lord Zameer Announces $1 Million Donation to Help Pakistan Flood Victims

Bestway Group, Pakistan’s leading foreign investor announced to donate $1 million to help the flood affected people.

Lord Zameer Choudrey informed the sources that donation has been raised to help Pakistani people.

He stated that on behalf of the founder and chairman Anwar Pervez, OBE; he assured that Bestway Group stands with affectees at such hard time.

He further confirmed that being a part of two-pronged strategy, they are trying their best to provide immediate relief. They are working in partnership with local businesses and financial institutions so that they can rehabilitate the masses affected by havoc flood.

Meanwhile, UK based Bestway Group launched a fund raising campaign through the country’s largest wholesaler and retailer network independently in order to compete with such hard time.

Further, a fund raising dinner is also organized by Bestway Group on 23 September 2022 at Central London. In which around 500 people are expected to join.

Whereas, in Pakistan Bestway Group subsidiaries, Bestway Cement Limited and United Bank Limited have united to set medical camps, distributing food parcels and cooking meals providing vital banking facilities all across the flood affected areas.

However, ÂŁ1 million would be observed as Lord Choudrey Scholarship at the University of Cambridge.

It is pertinent to inform that Lord Choudrey has played a vital role in the establishment of scholarships for Pakistani students at well known universities of Bradford; Oxford; Kent and Cambridge.

He appreciated and acknowledged about the constant support of UK Government for Pakistani affectees in such hard time.

Meanwhile, he is doing an efforts to increase the British Government’s financial commitment to Pakistan.
