The Federal Cabinet has given its nod to Lieutenant General Muhammad Munir Afsar’s appointment as the Chairman of the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) for a term of three years. Lt. Gen. Muhammad Munir Afsar was initially appointed by the caretaker government led by Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar on October 2.
His confirmation for the three-year term as NADRA Chairman follows careful considerations by the federal government. This decision was reached after thorough discussions and evaluations.
The Ministry of Interior circulated a summary endorsing the appointment. Additionally, the Federal Cabinet has approved the inclusion of Rule Seven A in the NADRA Rules 2020, highlighting the importance of strong governance structures.
