Lulu Group is to open 50 cinemas across the UAE, providing multiple job opportunities in the coming years. According to the sources, around 1,500 employees will be recruited to operate the cinemas.
An agreement has been made between Line Investments & Property, Lulu Group International, the shopping mall development, and Star Cinemas to manage the cinemas, where movies in Arabic, English, Hindi, and other languages will be showcased.
The executive director of Lulu Group International, MA Ashraf Ali stated that the company has operated cinemas in malls and now they are expanding their partnership with Cinemas. He further revealed that considerable manpower will be required as each theatre will recruit a minimum of 25 to 30 people.
Line Investments & Property and Star Cinemas have made an agreement in the previous week, to introduce 22 new screens operated by Star Cinemas. According to the agreement, 3 screens will be operated at Al Raha Mall, 9 at Al Wahda Mall, 6 at Al Foah Mall, and 4 at Barari Outlet Mall in September 2023.
Additionally, the pact extends to the establishment of Star Cinemas in Sharjah Central Mall, Dubai Silicon Oasis Mall, and RAK Mall in Ras Al Khaimah.
