A significant drop in petrol prices is anticipated from August 16, bringing relief to many struggling with high living costs.
According to sources, petrol prices could decrease by up to 12 rupees per liter. Specifically, petrol may see a reduction of 9 rupees per liter, diesel might fall by around 8.5 rupees per liter, and kerosene oil could drop by more than 12 rupees per liter.
This potential price cut is especially important as Balochistan is experiencing a severe fuel crisis, with petrol prices soaring to as high as 550 rupees per liter.
The final details on the new prices will be provided by OGRA on August 15. The new rates will be officially announced after consultations with the Finance Minister and the Prime Minister.
This anticipated reduction follows a previous price cut on August 1, which had also offered some relief to consumers.
