Gold prices in Pakistan hit a new record high on Friday, following a rise in global markets. The price of one tola of gold increased by Rs3,500, reaching an all-time high of Rs272,000. This is the highest price gold has ever reached in the country.
Along with this, the price of 10 grams of gold also went up by Rs3,001, now costing Rs233,196.
This increase comes after gold prices rose by Rs800 on Thursday, when the price settled at Rs268,500 per tola.
In the international market, gold prices also surged on Friday, rising by $35 to reach $2,612 per ounce. The All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) shared that the rise in Pakistan reflects this global increase.
Meanwhile, silver prices remained steady at Rs2,950 per tola.
As gold prices continue to rise, people are keeping a close eye on the market, waiting to see if the trend will carry on in the coming days.
