Massive Increase In Sugar, Ghee, And Flour Prices, Government Cut Subsidies To Stores

The federal government gradually reduced the subsidy on utility stores for the public.

The subsidy on utility stores has been reduced by the government, while sugar, ghee and flour have been made more expensive for the beneficiaries under the Benazir Income Support Program.

In the budget, the amount of subsidy for USC was increased from 30 billion to 35 billion rupees, yet it is surprising that the prices increase as soon as the government leaves, while the shortage of goods at the utility stores also increases the problems of the citizens.

Utility stores are in short supply of many commodities, including sugar, while citizens are desperate for cheap items in long queues.
