Master Changan Motors to Launch Deepal S7 Electric

Master Changan Motors Limited (MCML) is getting ready to bring its first electric vehicle brand, called Deepal, to Pakistan soon. They’re expected to launch the S07 SUV and L07 Sedan models.

While it’s not officially confirmed yet, a company official hinted that an electric vehicle is on the way.

Changan, the parent company of MCML, has introduced three electric vehicle brands under the Vast Ocean Plan. These brands cater to different types of customers – Avatr, Deepal, and Nevo.

The Deepal S07 is a mid-size crossover SUV, and the Deepal L07 is a fast-back sports sedan. Both models are set to make their debut in Pakistan.

These electric vehicles have already been released in Thailand, which also drives on the right side of the road like Pakistan.

Even though there’s a lot of potential for electric vehicle growth, there are challenges to overcome. One challenge is how to classify electric vehicles based on their battery capacity, and another challenge is setting fair prices at charging stations.

To tackle these challenges, there are suggestions to revise how electric vehicles are classified and to offer financing options for buyers. Additionally, increasing the margins for charging stations could help make electric vehicles more accessible.

MCML plans to include home chargers with all Changan electric cars and promote zero-carbon emissions by installing solar panels.
