Haiqa Hassan, representing Sindh in the 27th National Junior Ping-Pong Championship, has managed to bag a gold medal and the trophy, under-15 girls’ singles category adding to the increasing count of medals and honors.
A total of nine teams from various regions and organizations including Punjab Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sindh, Balochistan, Islamabad, Gaqit-Baltistan Azad Kashmir, Wapda and Armed Forces participated in the competition.
Haiqa Hassan, a 13-year-old girl was pleased to have won the competition, and she said that she is looking forward to the next challenge Haiqa also hoped to represent Pakistan in the coming years.
In the recent past, Haiqa has also won several inter-school competitions. She is looking for sponsors to support young talent and help lift the profile of Pakistan’s sport.
