Twitter and Meta (Facebook’s parent company) are in a potential legal dispute over allegations of stealing trade secrets. Meta denied the accusations and clarified that none of the people working on their app Threads used to work for Twitter. Twitter’s lawyer sent a letter demanding that Meta stop using Twitter’s confidential information and collecting data without permission.
Elon Musk, who owns Twitter, commented that competition is fine, but cheating is not acceptable. Threads has gained more than 30 million users, posing a significant challenge to Twitter.
