As per a recent notification, the Metro Bus service in the twin cities will be suspended for an indefinite period amid public rallies by the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and opposition parties.
According to the notification, the Metro Bus service in Islamabad and Rawalpindi will stay closed as a precautionary measure during the political parties’ scheduled power shows.
“The decision was made to safeguard the protection of the public in the event of any unforeseen circumstances,” the Metro Bus service administration said in a statement.
Moreover, in view of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) rally on March 27 at Parade Ground, Islamabad police have developed a traffic plan for the city.
