Mexican Companies Show Keen Interest in the Auto Sector of Pakistan

Mexico’s auto parts industry will work with Pakistan’s counterparts to exploit the enormous potential of the country’s auto-vending market, which needs more foreign exposure.

This agreement was reached after a series of four webinars aimed at enhancing mutual understanding between the two countries’ industries and establishing a roadmap for mutual understanding.

Shabana Aziz, Pakistan’s Commercial Councilor in Mexico, had been meeting with key stakeholders in the Mexican automotive industry and was able to set up meetings between Pakistani and Mexican representatives.

Mexico is the world’s seventh-largest car maker. For Pakistani auto parts manufacturers, a large auto parts makers like VAZLO would be appealing.

Opportunities were found in the forging parts and rubber parts segments in Mexico during the webinars, Khan said, adding that some companies contacted auto parts manufacturers in Pakistan and began preliminary inquiries.
