Pakistan’s northern areas have been popular tourists’ attractions among the foreigners. Just in, a Miami girl Samantha Shea decided to live permanently in Hunza, claiming that the quality of life is better here than in America.
Samantha penned down an amazing blog expressing the initial shock people express when she tells them about her decision. She added that showing the pictures of beautiful snow-capped mountains immediately escalates this shock.
Writing for business insider, she said that she came to Pakistan first back in 2019, when she was a university graduate and would never have thought of living outside America. She says that she was earning more in the US, but the culture is ‘toxic’.
Samantha has found peace of life in Hunza valley, 8,500 ft above sea level where she breathes fresh air, eat organic home-cooked food, and has found people extremely polite. She is living as a digital nomad, has learnt Urdu, and goes to the local market whenever she needs anything.
Shea is all positive and contended about the lack of electricity, no guarantee of running hot water, and beauty of living in mountains.
