Azhar Ali Achieves Major Milestone of 16,000 First-Class Runs

Azhar Ali made a breakthrough in Worcestershire County season by securing 16,000 first class runs. He has become 17th Pakistani cricketer to achieve this milestone. With this record, Azhar Ali has joined the ranks of cricket heroes Misbah-ul-Haq, Inzamam-ul-Haq, Mohammad Yousuf, and Younis Khan who made the same record in 2016.

The team was playing against Sussex where Azhar Ali scored a whooping 103 runs. However, the match ended in a tie. The Sussex head coach, Paul Farbrace, applauded Azhar Ali by stating that he is a remarkable player in all conditions.

Paul further added that it would be a great pleasure for him to eye his batting again and that he cannot help but admire him. The coach also claimed that Azhar Ali made was the difference between them sneaking conquest and the game ending in draw.

Azhar Ali has now become the 5th leading test run player, making an average of 42.49 in 96 matches and securing 7,097 runs.
