Former Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Miftah Ismail has announced the launch of his new political party, named Awaam Pakistan (AP). The party is set to officially debut next month, with its first convener being former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.
Several prominent former PML-N leaders will be joining Awaam Pakistan. These include Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan Abbasi, Javed Abbasi, Syed Zaeem Hussain Qadri, Rana Zahid Tauseef, Zahid Binnouri, and Sardar Anwar Soomro. In addition to these names, the party will also be supported by former health minister Dr. Zafar Mirza and ex-MQM Member of National Assembly (MNA) Sheikh Salahuddin.
The official launch event for Awaam Pakistan is scheduled to take place on July 6 in Islamabad. The formation of this new party follows a series of disagreements between Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and the current PML-N leadership. These differences eventually led to the decision to create a new political platform. The party registration documents were submitted back in April, marking the beginning of this new political journey.
Miftah Ismail and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi have been vocal about the need for a new political direction, emphasizing a focus on the needs and aspirations of the common people. The new party aims to address various issues facing the country, with a promise to bring about positive change and effective governance.
As the launch date approaches, there is growing anticipation about the party’s plans and policies. Many are curious to see how Awaam Pakistan will differentiate itself from existing political parties and what specific strategies it will employ to tackle the country’s challenges.
The formation of Awaam Pakistan marks a significant development in the political landscape of Pakistan. With notable leaders from different backgrounds coming together, the party is expected to make a substantial impact on the political scene. As it prepares for its official debut, Awaam Pakistan is positioning itself as a new voice for the people, aiming to bring fresh perspectives and solutions to the forefront of national politics.
