Here’s How Much You Must Pay for Fitrana & Fidya in 2025

The minimum amount for Fitrana and Fidya in 2025 has been officially set at Rs. 240 per person, allowing Muslims to fulfill their charitable obligations during Ramadan.

This announcement was made by Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman, a well-known religious scholar and former chairman of the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee. He urged those who are financially stable to contribute according to their means, emphasizing the importance of helping those in need.

The Fidya, which is given to compensate for missed fasts, varies depending on different food items. The rates include Rs. 240 for wheat, Rs. 700 for barley, Rs. 4,000 for high-quality dates, and Rs. 6,400 for premium raisins.

In addition, Mufti Muneeb highlighted the Kaffara, the compensation for breaking a fast without a valid reason. According to Islamic teachings, this requires feeding 60 underprivileged people with two meals each.

As Ramadan approaches, this announcement serves as a reminder for Muslims to fulfill their obligations and support the less fortunate in society.
