Mohammad Amir Breaks Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s Record for Most Maiden Overs in T20 Cricket

Left-arm pacer Mohammad Amir has set a new record for the most maidens bowled by a pacer in T20 internationals, surpassing India’s Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

Playing for the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2024, Amir achieved this milestone with a remarkable performance against the Barbados Royals.

He has now bowled 25 maidens, placing him third overall in the history of T20 maidens, behind Shakib Al Hasan and Sunil Narine.

This new record adds to Mohammad Amir’s impressive T20 career. It follows another notable achievement by fellow Pakistani player Shaheen Shah Afridi, who recently set a record for the most first-over wickets in T20s.

Amir’s achievement highlights his exceptional skill and consistency in the shorter format of the game.
