Prime yourself for witnessing the soccer match on the moon as early as 2035. However, the match might be played differently from that of Earth.
Scientists from the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) have revealed an exciting plan for how a soccer match can be played on the moon. According to the expert’s vision, the format will include five-a-side matches in four quarters of 10 minutes and a 20 minutes break between each to provide each player with relaxing time.
In addition, the boots and shorts would have to be changed for bulky Apollo-esque spacesuits with advanced cooling features integrated. The referees will resemble the technological nature of VAR more than on Earth because the hologram referees patrol the soccer stadiums for vision, announcing virtual red or yellow flags.
According to Brian David Johnson, scientists and engineers play important roles in shaping the future extending to space exploration which requires many skillful young people in the future.
