A Muslim citizen in India has been arrested for offering namaz, police have registered a case and arrested him.
Maulvi Shaukat Ali, director of future track, a coaching centre in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad district, has been arrested for offering prayers.
Maulvi Shaukat Ali was arrested by the police from Deepak Vihar area of Ghaziabad, while the FIR registered states that when the police reached the spot, he was offering prayers at the Future Track Coaching Institute.
According to the SHO, the construction of a madrasa in the coaching center and arranging prayers was affecting other areas, while he did not respond to the legal status.
