The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) distributed pay orders worth Rs. 462 million to people affected by various housing and investment fraud cases during a ceremony held in Lahore. The payments were made as part of NAB’s ongoing efforts to recover money for victims of financial scams.
According to officials, a total of 1,619 victims received compensation through the latest distribution. The recovered funds came from several cases involving housing schemes and investment projects that had caused financial losses to investors.
Among the major cases included in the recovery process were Omega Residencia, Eden Housing, Abuzar Housing Scheme, Formanites Housing Scheme, and Model Business Trade Centre. NAB stated that more than Rs. 145 million was returned to victims linked to the Omega Residencia case alone.
In the Eden Housing case, NAB distributed an additional Rs. 39.74 million. Officials noted that total repayments to affected investors in the Eden Housing matter have now crossed Rs. 1.4 billion, reflecting ongoing recovery efforts over the years.
Speaking at the event, NAB Chairman Lt. Gen. Nazir Ahmed Butt (Retd.) emphasized the importance of careful investment decisions. He advised citizens to verify all legal approvals, documentation, and regulatory permissions before investing in real estate or business projects.
Officials said NAB remains committed to protecting public interests and helping victims recover lost funds wherever possible. The bureau continues to investigate financial fraud cases and pursue recoveries through legal channels.
The latest distribution was welcomed by many victims who had been waiting for compensation. Authorities believe such recoveries not only provide relief to affected individuals but also help strengthen public confidence in accountability and law enforcement institutions. NAB has encouraged investors to remain cautious and conduct proper due diligence before making financial commitments.
