NADRA has launched a new verification method to prevent the issuing of false CNICs

To combat the illicit issuing of Computerized National Identity Cards, NADRA (National Database and Registration Authority) has created a new identity card verification and renewal (CNICs).

The news comes weeks after the problem of around four million “fake CNICs” reverberated throughout the country, notably in the Senate and the National Assembly.

Last month,FIA Sindh Director Amir Farooqi, while talking at a public interview at his office in Karachi, had uncovered that a few workers of Nadra helped assailants connected with the prohibited Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Al-Qaeda in Indian Subcontinent (AQIS) and restricted outfits of Baloch sub-patriot gatherings to receive CNICs as a trade-off for money related and different increases.

Farooqi named a few outsiders, including an Indian resident Imran Ali, who was engaged with the Safoora slaughter; and fear based oppressors associated with the assault on the Chinese office in Karachi, who got CNICs from Nadra. He additionally uncovered that unfamiliar offices penetrated and harmed Nadra’s framework.
