National Highway Authority Bans HID Lights, Imposes Rs 5,000 Fine

The National Highway and Motorway Police (NHMP) has announced stricter traffic rules with higher fines. One major change is a complete ban on HID lights, and anyone caught using them will have to pay a fine of Rs 5,000.

These new fines will be enforced from October 1 and also include penalties for other traffic violations. Drivers using a mobile phone while driving will be fined Rs 500, those not wearing a seatbelt will have to pay Rs 1,500, and anyone using fancy registration plates will be charged Rs 1,000.

The purpose of these new rules is to make roads safer and encourage people to follow traffic laws. The NHMP hopes that by increasing fines, drivers will become more responsible and cautious while driving. These measures are designed to reduce accidents and improve overall road safety.

Many accidents happen because drivers do not follow basic rules, such as wearing seatbelts or avoiding distractions like mobile phones. By strictly enforcing these fines, the authorities want to remind everyone about the importance of safe driving habits.

Drivers are advised to follow these rules to avoid paying heavy fines and, more importantly, to ensure their own safety and the safety of others on the road. These new penalties show the government’s commitment to making highways and motorways safer for everyone.
