Nelson Mandela Innovation Award was given to a Pakistani organisation

The Nelson Mandela-Graça Machel Innovation Award went to a Pakistani organisation for their social impact campaign, which used a life-size hologram of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah to push for a more equal and inclusive Pakistan. HIVE Pakistan coordinated the campaign, dubbed ‘AIK – Better Together.’

The prize was given in the area of ‘building positive narratives for people power’ to the organisation, which works to address challenges of extremism and marginalisation through innovative advocacy, youth-focused mentorship, and upstream mobilisation.
