New Gwadar Airport to Begin Operations from January 20

Pakistan’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has announced that the New Gwadar International Airport will begin operations on January 20. This is a major development for the region.

At first, PIA will operate flights from the airport, but both local and international airlines are also interested in connecting to this new hub.

Gwadar, located in Balochistan along CPEC, holds a strategic position. The new airport is expected to boost the region’s economic growth by improving connectivity, trade, and tourism. The airport is modern and equipped to handle larger aircraft and international flights, offering advanced security measures and facilities for passengers.

The opening of this airport is an important step towards transforming Gwadar into a global trade and maritime center. In addition to the airport’s opening, PIA has also resumed its European operations after a four-and-a-half-year break, with the first flight departing for Paris.

This new infrastructure will play a key role in increasing international trade, attracting foreign investment, and creating job opportunities in the region.

The airport’s opening marks a new chapter in Pakistan’s aviation and economic development, making Gwadar a more accessible and attractive destination for businesses, tourists, and investors alike.
