New Zealand Student Visa Application Fees for Pakistanis Announced, Here’re Details

Pakistani students aiming to pursue studies in New Zealand now have updated information regarding student visa application fees and requirements. Immigration New Zealand has announced that Pakistani applicants will need to pay Rs145,800 as the non-refundable fee for processing student visa applications. Additionally, a separate fee of Rs6,700 is required for processing through the Visa Application Centre in Pakistan.

To qualify for a New Zealand student visa, Pakistani students must be enrolled in full-time courses with approved New Zealand educational providers. International students can choose from a range of options, including tertiary education, English language programs, and secondary schooling.

In addition to course enrollment, applicants must demonstrate sufficient financial resources. Students applying for tertiary or non-compulsory schooling are required to show proof of NZD $20,000 per year, or NZD $1,667 monthly for shorter studies. For those in compulsory education (years 1-13), the required funds are NZD $17,000 per year.

New Zealand allows international students to work part-time up to 20 hours weekly during their studies, and full-time during holidays, depending on their visa conditions. Importantly, the student visa duration matches the length of the study program, though the visa may end sooner if a passport expires before studies conclude.

With these guidelines, Pakistani students can now prepare to fulfill their academic goals in New Zealand with clarity on financial and application requirements.
