Nigerian Air Force Receives JF-17 Fighter Jets From Pakistan

The Pakistan Air Force’s Il-76 cargo plane arrived at the Nigerian Air Force’s 21st Makurdi Air Base laden with a JF-17 fighter jet.

A JF-17 fighter jet was delivered to the Nigerian Air Force’s 21st Makurdi Air Base by a Pakistan Air Force Il-76 freight plane. Pakistan aims to send the first of three JF-17 fighter jets to Nigeria in the first quarter of 2021.

Pakistan Aeronautical Complex, which built the planes and was in charge of their delivery, handed over the jets. This is the most recent advancement in the Pakistan Air Force’s participation in Nigeria’s modernization programme.

The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Pakistani government approved the $ 184.3 million contract for the supply of three JF-17 Thunder fighter planes after Lagos agreed to provide a financial guarantee for the purchase.
