Fans of Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan on the other side of the border are having a sad day because The Legend of Maula Jatt, the newest Pakistani hit starring the on-screen duo, has had its release in that nation cancelled, according to Indian media.
According to Hindustan Times, the magnum work of Bilal Lashari won’t be released in India. The release of the Pakistani movie has reportedly been put on indefinite hold, according to earlier reports.
“The distributors have notified us that the movie’s release has been delayed. This was revealed to us two or three days ago. No additional date has been provided to us, an INOX official was cited as saying in a PTI report.
The official continued, “Zee Studios purchased the rights to The Legend of Maula Jatt because they anticipated the movie would be successful. However, the decision was reached not to release the film due to opposition from some groups.
Leader of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) and head of their cinema branch The Legend of Maula Jatt’s release was postponed, and Ameya Khopkar tweeted, “Impact Of Raj Thackeray’s Warning! The Pakistani movie “The Legend of Maula Jatt” has now been entirely cancelled following the MNS warning. This movie will no longer be released everywhere in the nation, not only in the state.
