For offers above 5.3 crores PKR, a little deserted island off the coast of southern Scotland is offered for sale. In Dumfries and Galloway, Barlocco is located in Fleet Bay, about nine miles by road from Kirkcudbright.
On the island, there are no houses or other structures, but there is a flood pond that provides water to animals and other species throughout the winter. It has a pebble beach that can be reached on foot at low tide and where a boat can be beached or anchored.
One of the Islands of Fleet, along with Ardwall Island and Murray’s Isles, is Barlocco. The sale is being handled by Galbraith, which described it as a “rare opportunity” for someone to acquire their own island.
With “outstanding views” and some of the biggest seabird populations in the region, the 25-acre property is a popular tourist destination. “Barlocco Island is in a truly stunning location close to Kirkcudbright in Dumfries and Galloway and within an area of scientific interest both geologically and biologically,” said Aaron Edgar, who is handling the sale for Galbraith.
“Owning a private Scottish island, where you can go away from the hustle and bustle of daily life and enjoy some peace and quiet in the most breathtaking scenery around, is still associated with a highly romantic notion. The pebble beach is a delight and the ideal starting point for exploring the island, going swimming in chilly water, or mooring a boat and having a picnic by the water.
