Good news came out from the oil and gas production sector at the local level, gas and oil production started prematurely from Wali Batani well in Lucky Marwat.
According to OGDCL spokesman, 300mm FCD gas per month from the new field will be added to the national grid, 30,000 barrels of crude oil will also be produced monthly from the well, gas production will be connected to the national grid in the next 24 hours.
With the completion of two more wells from Wali Batani area of Lucky Marwat, the daily gas production will be 50 mmfcd.
According to experts, the total oil reserves in the Wali Btani field are 13 million barrels while the total reserves of gas are 225 billion cubic feet.
