Naim Sadiq, right activist said that the minimum wage in our country is lower than even the living wage; however, over 60% workers in Pakistan are not receiving even the minimum wage.
A seminar was conducted with the title of Situation of Implementation of Minimum Wages Law’ and while speaking in it he just lamented that in spite of existence of the minimum wage law in the country there is no proper implementation of its ruling.
Moreover, he said that there are no services of social security or any other kind of dearness allowance for the workers. Meanwhile, over 95% of these workers in the country do not even receive any of the social security facility by the institutions of the state.
